AN INTERDISCIPLINARY PLATFORM FOR DISCUSSION OF OPTIMAL MANAGEMENT OF MULTIMORBID PATIENTS IN THE AREA OF CARDIOLOGY, NEPHROLOGY AND DIABETES “ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION AND COMORBID CONDITIONS: UPDATES ON APPROACHES TO DIAGNOSTICS AND TREATMENT ON THE BASIS OF RECOMMENDATIONS” On 9 November 2018, Tashkent, Uzbekistan, hosted a Cardio Forum 2018. As many as 670 doctors from Tashkent and the regions took part in the forum. This large-scale event held under the aegis of the Association of Cardiologists of Uzbekistan and European Society of Cardiology in close cooperation with Berlin-Chemie/Menarini Company.               Academician R. Kurbanov, addressed the participants with welcoming words at the Forum opening ceremony and underscored the high relevance of hypertention treatment, especially, the high incidence of comorbid conditions: diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome, CRD, COPD, cerebrovascular diseases and others, which affect the course, nature and severity of complications, which frequently obscure diagnostics, and, indeed, determine specifics in choosing antihypertensive medications. In this context, cardiologists require extensive knowledge of concomitant diseases with the view of preventing a risk for development of life-threatening complications.               Professor Athanasios J. Manolis (Greece), the President and General Secretary of the Mediterranean Association of Cardiology and Cardiosurgery, delivered a presentation “Arterial Hypertension: A Critical Approach of the Recently Published ESC/ESH and ACC/AHA Guidelines” . a link to the video               A presentation on “Control of Heart Rate and Blood Pressure” was made by Deputy Director for Science, Republican Specialized Center for Cardiology (RSCC) of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Shek A.B.                  Professor G. Khamidullaeva, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Arterial Hypertension, RSCC of the Republic of Uzbekistan, gave a presentation “Treatment of Arterial Hypertension in Chronic Renal Disease”.                                  Professor Jan T. Kielstein  (Germany) - a leading expert in therapy of renal diseases and arterial hypertension, cardiovascular risk in patients on dialysis at the Center for Cardiovascular Research at Blood Purification  Academic Teaching Hospital Braunschweig - spoke about “Hyperuricaemia - an Update in its Role in CV and Renal Disease”. a link to the video               Clinical case studies, robust discussions, a great number of questions to the presenters made the Forum relevant and meaningful for all the participants, which, undoubtedly will serve as the groundwork for improvements in care for thousands of patients and reduction in the risk of cardiovascular complications.a link to the video               “Medical Express” correspondent “Medical Express” photo and video reporter

PRACTICAL INTENSIVE COURSE ON HYPERTENSION AND CARDIOVASCULAR RISK ORGANISED BY EUROPEAN SOCIETY OF HYPERTENSION The named event took place in the Capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, in the Conference Hall of the International Hotel Tashkent. The course was organized by the Health Ministry of Uzbekistan, European Society of Hypertension (ESH). The main donor of the Course was Gedeon Richter Pharmaceutical Company, and the organizing committee was represented by the AIM Group International. The event was opened by the Head of the Republican Specialized Center of Cardiology, Chairman of the Association of Cardiologists of Uzbekistan, Professor Ravshan D. Kurbanov. The participants of the event were greeted by the Deputy Minister of Health Sh. Kh. Tillaev, Head of Gedeon Richter International Marketing Department Szoverfi-Buksa Krisztina. Head of Preventive Cardiology, Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine, Prague, Czech Republic, Professor Renata Cifkofa made her presentation dedicated to the State of the art in hypertension management. Head of the Republican Specialized Center of Cardiology, Chairman of the Association of Cardiologists of Uzbekistan, Professor Ravshan D. Kurbanov and Chief Cardiologist of Health Ministry, Professor Rifat Sh. Mamutov presented their report on the Problems with improving the detection and control of blood pressure among the population of the Republic of Uzbekistan in order to reduce cardiovascular risk. Chief Neurologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Head of the Department of Neurology TIPME, Professor Bakhtiyar G. Gafurov reported on Features of control of the blood pressure in patients with acute stroke. Head of the International Medicine and Cardiometabolic Centre at the St.lmre Teaching Hospital, Budapest, Hungary, Professor Csaba Farsang gave presentation on the Treatment of hypertension in special conditions: focus on high CV risk patients. Head of Hypertension Department, Republican Specialized Center of Cardiology, Gulnoz A. Khamidullaeva gave her report on the Value of genetic factors in the development of hypertension and target organ lesion. Professor Margus Viigimaa, who represented the Centre of Cardiology, North Estonia Medical Centre in Tallinn University of Technology, Tallinn, Estonia, presented his talk dedicated to the Management of resistant hypertension. Dr. Nigora Z.Srojidinova, senior Researcher of Hypertension Department, Republican Specialized Center of Cardiology, reported on the Hypertension and metabolic syndrome - the way of correction to reduce cardiovascular risk. The aim of the meeting was to provide qualified and exclusive updated information and achievements in the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases and management of cardiovascular risks. This event allowed participants to meet with leading experts of the European Society of Hypertension and to participate in discussion of new Guidelines and their implementation.
