INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH TO THE TREATMENT OF RHINOSINUSITIS 13.02.2020 749

(Russian version) “Hilton Tashkent City” Hotel in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, hosted a scientific and practical conference “INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH TO THE TREATMENT OF RHINOSINUSITIS”. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Association of Doctors of the Republic of Uzbekistan in scientific partnership with the Representative Office of Pharmaceutical Company “Bionorica SE” (Germany) were organizers of this event. Specialized journal “Medical Express” was the information partner in this event. Vice-Rector for Academic Affars at Tashkent Institute for Postgraduate Medical Education (TIPME), Kasymova Munira Sadykjanovna and the Chairperson of ENT Department of the Association of Doctors of Uzbekistan, Professor of the Teaching Department for ENT Diseases at Tashkent Medical Academy, Dr. Med. Habil. Kh.E. Shaykhova, welcomed the conference participants. The focus of the conference was to highlight the benefits of Sinupret® Extract for treatment of acute uncomplicated inflammatory diseases of the paranasal sinuses (acute uncomplicated rhinosinusitis). Professor V. Popovich, Head of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology with the Course of Head and Neck Surgery, the Chairperson of the Expert Panel of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine delivered a presentation entitled “Sinupret® Extract. The Powerful Effects on Rhinosinusitis from the Evidence-Based Medicine Position”. In his presentation, the professor pointed out that the medicine produces a combined therapeutic effect on human body emphasizing that the key effect of the medication is the capacity to regulate production of mucus during rhinorrhea. He added that using the medicine from the onset of a common cold accompanied with rhinorrhea significantly expedites the recovery and prevents development of purulent complications (e.g., maxillary sinusitis, frontal sinusitis and others). Head of the Clinic and Professor of Ghent University, C. Bachert (Belgium), spoke next with a presentation “Sinupret® Extract: From Clinical Studies to Guidelines”. During his speech, he noted that Sinupret® Extract is an effective plant-based alternative to antibiotics for treatment of upper respiratory tract diseases. Satellite symposium “New Possibilities of IHD Therapy” The capital of Uzbekistan hosted the VII Eurasian Congress of Cardiology at “International Tashkent”. The organizers of the congress were the Eurasian Association of Cardiology, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Association of Cardiologists of Uzbekistan, and the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Cardiology. Elmira Basitkhanova, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Nurdinjon Ismoilov, the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Parliament of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ravshanbek Kurbanov, “Hero of Uzbekistan”, Director of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Cardiology, Academician of the Academy of Science of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Dr. med. habil., made opening statements at the congress. The scientific agenda of the congress was dedicated to contemporary dimensions and achievements in cardiology as a science globally, new trends in prevention, diagnostics and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, development and practical use of innovative medical technologies in cardiology, challenges and prospects in laboratory and instrumental diagnostics, evidence-based pharmacotherapy for cardiovascular disease, setting up new registers, and improvements in quality of cardiologic care to the population. Academician R.D. Kurbanov (Uzbekistan) presented “Objectives and Development Prospects in Cardiologic Service in the Light of Ongoing Health Reforms”, Academician I.E. Chazova (Russia) gave a speech on “Russian 2019 Recommendations on Diagnostics and Treatment of Arterial Hypertension”, Academician A.G. Mrochek (Belarus) reported on “Problem of Sudden Cardiac Death. Significance of Cardiac Rhythm Disturbances”  and Academician Yu.P. Ostrovskiy (Belarus) gave a talk on “Ten Years of Heart Transplantation in the Republic of Belarus”. Satellite symposia “New Possibilities of IHD Therapy”, “Current Issues Concerning Treatment of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension and Chronic Pulmonary Thromboembolic Disease”, “Possibilities of Interventional Cardiology: Today and Tomorrow” and others were organized within the frameworks of the congress. The congress agenda included sessions such as “Innovative Approaches to Diagnostics and Treatment of Acute and Chronic Cardiac Failure”, “Progress and Challenges in Cardiology of the 21st Century”, “From Arterial Hypertension to Ischemic Heart Disease: Better Ways to Detect and Treat”,  “Cutting Edge Issues of Arrhythmology” and others . The congress also included plenary sessions, a school of cardiology, master classes, exhibition of pharmaceutical products and medical equipment. More than 250 delegates from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Hungary, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Moldova, Italy, India, Poland, Russia, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Switzerland, Japan and other countries attended the congress.
